Default IntensePower / ProEFI / Greddy TT: Closing in on 700whp!

We've finally got to test out the ProEFI unit on one of our shop cars thats equipped with standard Greddy Twins / Darton Sleeves & stock bore.

here's the specs
Engine:
- Darton Sleeves (Stock Bore)
- Wiseco Pistons
- Crower Rods
- Nismo Cams
- ARP Headstuds

Performance:
- Standard Greddy Twin Turbo Kit w/ FMIC
- IntensePower.com Test pipes
- ProEFI ECU
- PowerLab Twin Pump Fuel System
- RC 750cc Injectors
- Carbonetics Clutch

The first run we did was on spring rate which is .4 Bar I belive and here's what we yielded. Revving each time to 7500RPM.

From that point on we wanted to see what it could do all-in, so we commanded 22 PSI with the ProEFI ECU and here's what it did!

Very nice...

When will your twin pump fuel system be available? Price? It is nice to see people pushing these standard Greddy kits so far now

Thanks alberto, and Vq.turbo.dreamz. I think with the 20g upgrade we'd see well over 800WHP, but that would require alot of work. Our plans for this car are a little backwards (as to my350z enthusiasts). We might be going from the Greddy Twins to a Large T4/T6 Single. (Which is pretty much the opposite for most of you guys as you went from a single to twins)

The ProEFI ECU is looking very promising, I've never seen a computer so powerful yet and that includes the VPro and the AEM EMS (as we are pro dealers/Certified tuners for both).

isn't 22 PSI a tad bit high for 18G's? after 19PSI they are blowing hot air

I haven't looked at a compressor map but we commanded the max amount of boost we could out of the turbos. 22 PSI is all they would produce so it would be safe to say that you are definitely maxing the efficiency of the turbo's at that pressure ratio

Wow thats very nice. I would not mind upgrading to somthing like that. Would you say anything about the user interface as comparied to the vpro. Can you tell us more about ease of use and time of learning curve.

those are weird greddy graphs, my greddy graphs have 150-250 plus more tq at 4000 rpms. kinda looks like a big single graph.

I love seeing stuff like this! Nice!

Is the VTC enabled on this car?

You should try a Borg-Warner turbo too!

He said the car has pistons in it, probably not stock compression, that answers the difference in spool up power.

Notice the graph has smoothing at 0, that is an incredibly smooth power curve, showes you how good the tune is!

Nice job guys!

This was on pure C16

yeah as you can see the power drops off pretty steadily, who knows what a Cosworth Plenum and higher duration cams would do.

The VTC was disabled for all of the above runs But as far as the tune goes, the graph shows it all, especially with the smoothing at 0

Thanks,
No the VTC was not enabled. we've been looking at some of the new S series Borg Warner (extended tip) Turbos. Who knows whats in store though, we have alot of options on our plate.

yeah , all my cars are on lower compression too. i am not hating at all, just saying that the cars made A LOT more tq than those graphs.

i would definitely keep the VTC at stock settings cause thats what we run. i wouldnt want to lose power over stock stuff.

This is with the VTC completely disabled, no change in settings. Goes to show how much it really does affect the spool up (I know I sound like a broken record lol)

That is weird how the graph looks like a big single. My greddy map at 19psi looks way more linear.

Does the ProEFI allow the passthrough of VTC signals? Most people are going to find, that improving on the factory VTC angles is going to be tricky. It does look like a big single turbo, without VTC.
