Otherwise ANYBODY could say that they have spent over $100K when we factor in gas, oil, maintence etc. I can see why track-side support and 3 techs working would cost $. But is still don't see $80K of WORK in that car.
Put it this way. Even if we over estimate the cost of a motor and turbo with tuning (i believe Vinny still doesn not believe in tuning cars so tuning couldn't have been that much) at $25,000, add $5k for the brakes, $2k for seats, $2k for the cage. Even if the customer agreed to $10K in labor (fair for installing a motor and turbo kit i fhis dead lines meant other cars would have to be postponed), wheels, tires ETC we are at $50K (gross over estimate)
So either the GUY agreed to $30K to learn how to drive (bondurat would have been hella cheaper) and transport his car (a used F150 and trailer would have come in less), OR people are overestimating just how much that car has in it.

Sharif,
Sometimes you are just too nice....
Noah's new plan of action: i'm gonna find customers to spend $80K on the same build...and throw in a free winter beater...

the car, for the car, the team whats the difference? thats not the point. no one on this forum knows how much he spent on his motor a built motor can cost between 15kstreet and 65kfullrace.

LOL you can buy a built long block from as "little" as $7000. Funny you back tracked and included other factors into the cost of "parts" you originally said was $80K+ alone. That is all people were trying to clear up I figure your doing good then you pull some random #'s out of your cornhole for the cost of a "street" motor
Just another VTR fanboy who enjoys blowing money and getting bent over IMO. Or shall I say trying to bend others over ....^^^^^Good call Nitrouz.
IF I was going to build a "FULL race" as you like to call it Robello would be tops on my list NOT the guys you rep.

OMg you took teh word's right out of my mouth.
Please kind sir (RB) do show me what makes a "FULL RACE" motor $65K. Does it come wrapped in a Ferrari 355? Does it come with Michael Schumacher to make it perform better than EVEY OTHER overpriced motor?
I can see by the picture in your myspace (red Supra with a performance factory sticker) that you have known Vinny for a long time...and honestly ANYONE paying $65K for a motor deserves to get slapped with a fish...i really wanna see the differences between these motors...i can use a laugh
I can build that white car for less than $50k easy, and for the extra $30k, Ill teach you to drive, let you sleep with my wife, have one of my kids, and live in my spare room for 3 months..
Joking on the kids, but not the wife...
TT kit $7500
Engine $13000
Engine management $2500
Fuel system $2500
6 point roll cage $2500
suspension $2500
Brakes $4500
Misleaneous stuff you might need $5500
Thats $40000 in parts..
So another $40,000 in labor? I might actually let you have sex with me if you pay me that..
Like someone once said, there is a sucker born every minute..

Give me $200,000 to build and tune a tube chassi car, well see whats up..
And by the way, this still does not explain an extra $40,000 in labor on a bill...And my pricings were at LIST and VERY inflated when I estimated that..
