Default Looking for a shop for a custom build/built motor

Im sure this topic has been covered but i will dig anyway. looking for a custom turbo system i already have the turbos(gt35)looking to make 1200+hp. i will be using the factory 6speed, mabey Haltec or motec ecu, abuilt motor with all the best parts. it will be street driven and of course taken to the drag strip. im looking for a proven shop to deliver a 9sec 6speed 350z. any help will appreciated. no flames please. please give details of the success of the shops.

This is somewhat on-topic, but has anyone found out the limits of the stock 6spd transmission?

most shops on this forum are not running in the 9's. sounds like you need a race car shop. as for the 6 speed the Supras are well into the 8's with beefed up 6 speeds.

lol 1200hp. Maybe TH400, that costs 6000$. or a powerglide that costs near as much and has two forward gears. Why dont you post some pics of your 1200whp when your done. lol.

I dont see why it is so funny? It is actually possible if you know what you are doing and have the funds. And BTW, there is nothing wrong with a TH400 and they are actually very streetable with venders.

Hell, if he REALLY wants 1200rwhp there is a shop near my house that can do it no problem.

I wonder how effective dragging a 1200hp car would be.

Can you please have some knowledge about something before you post.

As far as shops go you could try Injected Performance or VTR.

I have the funds but if you are going to make a 1200hp car you should be able to know how to do it without asking questions. A th400 will handle it fine, but it will cost. A stock 6 speed will cost you 500$ from the wrecking yard each time with a new clutch, so even more money. I just think posts like this come from ricers.

Very, they do it all the time and with lots more power. Look up "NMCA True Street Class". Those are some SICK "street cars".
