However, I also don't see the knowledge or comprehension here necessary to pull this off. ive beed doing my research, it looks like a 1200 street car is out of the question. so my build up will be a 1200hp/6 Speed track car with some street action. First I will be getting a cage from Vp racecars certtified to 8.50. Second i will be getting an engine built, I have not chosen a shop yet. I will be doing this build in careful steps. thank for everyones input.

ok i'm kidding.....but yeah expect an $80k build easy for 1200 hp...and also expect most shops to be skeptical so they may ask for most if not ALL the $ up front....you will need a lot of custom work and the only place I have seen actually make that mark, and it pains me to say this is Vinny Ten Racing.
They made 1600 and ran 6.63 but in a $400K tube chassis drag car. They also had an 8.8 street tire car. I believe Carl Stevens Jr. drags a 350Z as well.

How many of you can spin the tires in your overdrive gear? More boost there isn't gonna hurt.
