Default Vortech

hi guys,

i moved to live in the middle east, Dubai.

and i got to know a guy who have a 350z and recently bought a used vortech tuner kit ( used on g35 before )for 3000$ but he never got the chance to install it after he bought it from the previous owner, and 2 weeks back he got into a financial trouble and he needs to sell the vortech for cheap asap for 2000$.

i have a 350z 2004 6MT. and i don’t know if i should grab it from him or no??

I’ve done my research (i know the rules here very well), but i just need some more help from you guys,

I found many threads about vortech g35 kit on 350z, but all the time ppl argue and never found a final answer( i tried to contact vortech with no reply !!! ) .... what do you think guys ??? will it fit?

and other issue is how to check if it’s working well, i am new in Dubai and never heard of any good performance garage, so is there a way i can check to know that the kit is ok and nothing is wrong with it ?? i took it to a garage here and he was like it seems good but you cannot know unless you fit it? (is that true?? there is no other way to check it ?? ),

Shall i go for it ????

appreciate ur help guys,

this is my first post on the FI section so easy on me

If he had a revup motor it wont fit without some major parts being replaced.

Im not sure about the piping though, seems like thatd be the only difference.

I agree. If he had it on a non-revup, you should be fine. Piping doesnt seem as though it would something you wouldnt be able to work with. If anything, a pipe or two may be too big. Nothing you couldnt shave a little off of.

if you are asking if a G35 kit fits on a 350z, the answer is yes, they are pretty much the same kit....

if it is on a rev up and yours isnt, it wont fit.

You can't determine if it is good or not simply by looking at it..Need to spin it up to high RPM's (Blower) and see if it freely rotates w/o rubbing the side wall , bearings are not damaged etc..What EMS system comes with it? Split second box or something else..
