ok so heres my predicament. i have decided to build my custom oil cooler using an earl's 16 row cooler and greddy sandwhich adapter. the problem is, i have a greedy twin kit, and for that reason i will have to remove the front brace due to the intercooler. so...where i was GOING to mount the oil cooler to, i can no longer do. anyone have any ideas where i will be able to mount this at?
thanks guys

I think most folks with a Greddy kit have a bracket made for the oil cooler. The guy in the attached thread has a PE kit but was using a Greddy FMIC and had a bumper reinforcement fabricated as well as brackets for the oil cooler.

The Earl's coolers come with zip ties that have a large backing plate that allow you to run the zip tie from the front of the oil cooler through the cooler and intercooler core and zip a backing plate on and tighten it. There is also a foam piece that goes between the intercooler and oil cooler to prevent metal to metal contact. Very easy ans simple to use.
Don't use the Greddy sandwhich adapter. Use the Mocal sandwhich adapter with thermostat. It only allows oil to enter the cooler if the temp is above 180 degreees. This allows the oil to get to temp quickly and keep it at normal operating temps.

Here is my Earls (Thawk408) custom oil cooler 187niner-22
With super custom brackets to fit the the Greddy FMIC.
IMO if your not going to beat your car up (track days) there is no need for this, just get a Stillen oil cooler and call it a day.

LOL! You can find brackets like that anywhere!
When you have your shop install your set up, those are the thing they will take care of (at least a good shop will), you shouldnt need to worry about those things, unless your doing the install your self. Let the shop work it out for you.
Here is my setup, this will not work with the OEM bumper cover, but just welded some custom brackets to hold the Earls cooler and then used an Earls sandwich plate with a custom made center post to mate it to the block. I have since removed the Greddy power steering cooler (piece of junk IMO) and located the OEM PS cooler like the turbonetics kits in the passenger fender well.

Not sure if the oil pump was modified in any way by Forged Performance to boost the pressure, but he reads almost 5 BAR of pressure when at steady cruise at 2500-3000rpm on his DEFI gauge.
Personally I wouldnt even mess with the thermostat unit as it is just something else to go wrong. The oil will heat up plenty quick if you just let it run for a minute before driving and if you retain the factory oil cooler/heater.
Also the mocal units are cast and i have heard the quality sucks. The one that I was going to sell you is CNC and very nice.

You are in good hands with Joe putting this stuff together for ya!
Nice oil cooler Luie, it looks familiar . . .

I didn't have to much trouble, mine was mounted up to the front brace
But If I end up going to the dark side I would have to make some brackets and probably move mine further over to the side of the bumper.
