Sure but I don't have enough confidence to install twins by myself and I don't want to pull my motor.

With the STS kit I can do it all myself saving 2-3k in installation fees.

Basically I was quoted for a Greddy TT $10,000 installed and tuned.

I can do the STS kit for $4500 installed by myself. That leaves money for gauges and other fancy stuff.

you can get a GreddyTT Kit installed and tuned with fancy stuff for less than $10,000.. or right around $10,000

problem with spending $4,500 on an STS Kit is .. when you do feel that need for power.. and you want more... you hit the roof on power.. you are going ot have to take your kit off and sell it for much less..

the roof on the GreddyTT Kit is 700whp and i am now feeling bad about that.. luckly SGP has a trick to get you to 1000 whp.. i couldn't imagine being stuck at 450 whp.. i would probably kill myself

STS comes with UTEC and is pretuned to around 320.

doug,
I don't want that kind of power in my G. When I want to go crazy I will go another route.

You have a link to where you got yours?

Doug - I understand where you are coming from with power but for 10G's more I would have went the vette route and spent the 40 something K dollars. And that 45K is on a n/a reliable motor imo. To each there own huh

I spent 42k on my G brand new so I could have went the vette route for that kind of power easily.

I haven't purchased my STS kit yet but give them a call and talk to someone about it.

The Turbonetics kit is around the same price too if you want to go that route.

And doug, even though I lol'd at your comment and I agree somewhat, I honestly do not want that kind of power in the G. It is my daily driver. If I want to go crazy I will purchase a second car and do retarded **** to it. Maybe a Z

OMG, you have got to be kidding me. Do you have a problem comprehending what people type? What does a thread being Z specific have to do with anything I typed? OMG, we need some sort of screening program on who is allowed to post on the forum.

Jvanquish..... is that you?

i say leave it N/A .. don't waste your money putting a turbo kit on it.. TRUST ME.. these kits will make you thirst and thirst and thirst.. ask all the guys who sold their TN Kits for Greddy Kits.. ask all the guys who sold their Stillen SC Kits for Greddy Kits.. ask all the guys who decided that 400 whp was enough and then they are building and bought Greddy Kits..

TRUST ME on this one.. YOU WILL want more..

i say do it right from the first time.. or stay N/A .. not joking.. i am dead serious..

if you guys really decide that at a certain point of HP you will want a different car.. may i suggest leaving your car the way it is now and buy a different car..

the hassle and pain of removing/selling turbo kits and selling cars to feed your hunger for more power is simply not worth it.

I said this to myself too!!! I said I'll be happy with 350whp since that is enough power to beat 95% of the car on the road. Boost is addicting and you will just want more or turn up the boost after awhile. I started with my 4.5psi map and that didn't last me until 3 weeks and since then my car never saw that map again. I'm always on my 8psi map and I'm thinking of adding a 10psi map.

I think I'm going to still stick with my single though even if I upgrade my Engine. I'll just end up adding Nitrous on days that I want to play. I think Mid 400whp is good for daily driving and when I feel like playing and that is the time I just Open my Bottle

525 whp is the sweet spot for daily driving well at least if you have alot of stereo equipment, 19's and coilovers

I went single turbo for a couple of reasons:

1. I wanted to build a 450-500whp car, save some costs, and be one of the few to do it with the APS ST/built motor.

2. I KNEW what my power goals from the beginning would be, and knew I wouldn't want more.

It's 2 years since my build and the ppl that have told me "You'll regret it, and you'll want more power" are wrong.

This is why one must be honest with themselves and make some serious long term projections. I agree with you 100%. Most of the guys opt to trade out to a TT eventually....

Do you get off to this...you must? I have yet to see a thread where you provide good information to someone. Being Z specific has EVERYTHING to do with it. I answer questions I can answer and those are typically general questions. You pointed to my "dumb" questions and how anyone will believe what I say. I dont think your comprehending this at all.

I think I will end up just like what you're saying. Start out small and then work myself up. And I agree with doug, I will probably want more.

But I could see myself going the route that athenG's described. Stay at a neutral mark around 400/400, build the engine and spray the **** out of it.
