Definately not lean. Look at the carbon midway up the ground strap...that's nicely rich. Looks fine to me.

But yeah, lets get you a wideband gauge. Reading plugs is a mad science, and usually onlyi tell you if somethign is HORRIBLE off....for a long period of time.

Thanks Sharif!!

BTW I kept getting the P0300 misfire code all the time... and occasionally the /P0172 Bank 1 rich/P0175 Bank 2 rich..

After changing the plugs I havent gotten any code yet!!

+1 was kinda curious what others were seeing, lol. they look fine considering the mileage and the range of a/f mixtures going from cruise to full throttle with fi. except for one. seems to be extremely shiny/ metallic looking. dunno if that is the one you wiped the oil off of, but i would be concerned with that one. iirc, it was #2 cylinder in your pics.

Default TT and 37k miles going to try a new plug/E3 should be superior and hopefully better!!

I am tired of NGK plugs which I always get the p0300 code, I am going to try out the E3.68 Plugs. Go to www.e3sparkplugs.com to read on them. I cross referenced the NGK 1 step colder to these and they are supposed to be the same heat range. They are supposed to work with any stock Z also but I am going to go light on them a while to see how they work out. Here is cross reference http://www.e3sparkplugs.com/pdf/e3autocross.pdf, here is the e3.68 catalog/part details to which vehicles the e3.68 matches up to..
http://www.showmetheparts.com/e3sparkplug/#

Here are pics of the NGK plugs I just took out..

They are in order 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Default So far, so good..

So far its running perfectly after 1 wk, the water temps started high at first but now have stayed and settled at 170 after warm up.. Oil press at idle stays at 35.. Plug looked good after I pulled it to look at it today..

Well, hopefully time will tell if it fixes the p0300 codes...I'm sick of erasing those codes, even though they only happen occasionally...

At first glance, that's a lot of grounding strap on that plug and I wonder how that would effect combustion at very high temps/boost levels.

I would like to try a before and after on the dyno. Keep us posted on the P300 codes and start ups. Looks promising.
