Any suggestions for where to purchase fuel line and fittings?
So far, I've checked with Jegs and also Summit Racing. Not bad pricing. Any others I should know about???

unless you have access to a wholesale account, summit is going to be your best bet

Is that because the bosch pump will out-pump the walbro? Why would they design it like that?

The design sucks, I had it set up the way the above diagram shows, the surge can would NEVER overflow, the Bosch moves so much more fuel than a Walbro 255, even with hardly any resientance to it's flow.
like Charles said return to the surge can, then the Bosch can maintain flow, and volume can be replenished by the Walbro.

I used the same filter with the AAM surge and 044 pump.
So you have a 3 pump system in all? Does having the AAM surge provide some extra benefit over the CJM twin pump system? I know phunk mentioned that there could still be issues with running on a low tank, but not 100% sure why his twin pump system would not alleviate that issue...

In other words is this AAM setup redundant now that you have the CJM?

No. If I understand Kevin correctly, he used to run with the AAM Surge Tank & Pump accompanied by the in-tank Walbro...plumbed it the way AAM wanted and had issues. Then sold it to move up to the CJM twin pump set-up wjicj he is currently running with no problems whatsoever.

Kevin ran into the same problems I am trying to avoid.
Apparently the AAM Install guide has some flaws and I am getting great advice so that I hopefully will have improved fuel flow and I won't ever have to worry about fuel starvation.

Does anyone actually run this pump set up at all. I am not finding a lot of feedback regarding this pump from current users/owners. I know its expensive when purchased new. Does AAM realize that they have the set-up mapped incorrectly???
I sent an email to AAM regarding spare parts to complete the assembly and they informed me to follow the diagram precisely for proper performance.
I think someone needs to let them know its flawed.

When I talked to Mike he said they were only tested and claimed 500 rwh, which it made.

I have it. It cost me almost as much as what I paid for it to have it installed corrrectly. The car is almost done and should be getting tuned soon. I have a Greddy TT, GTM built short block, GTM stage 3 cams, with an FCON. Sam is going to give me safest highest possible whp when he retunes, which should be very soon. I let you know what I was able to get with this set up, although I probably won't get over 650whp if even that, as the Greddy system would be pretty much maxed out.

Hey G-Man how did you plumb your set-up??? The AAM way or custom?
What is that fat -8an hose in the back of the tank? A feed or return? Can you break it down for me? Thanks.

Yes.

rrmedicx,

I don't know how it is hooked up. I haven't seen my car since July. All I have are those pics that Sam email the other day. Call GTM and ask Sam. I won't see my car until March or April.
