Daily drivers with FI...
Something like this might save some money, but as always let the buyer beware.

Are you taking it somewhere for the install and tune or DIY?

I was looking at that used water-cooled kit, but I'm VERY nervous about buying a rebuilt kit. I'd prefer to just buy a new one with a warranty for a little extra money

I only drive my car on the Weekend but I think I will have no problem with the car if it was my DD. The key thing is being light on the gas pedal which is the hardest thing. Boost is so addicting so it is really hard not to hit boost. I just love when my Turbo Spool and the sound of the BOV.

Oh, and since I am in the military, I get to keep my Colorado residency, and keep my car registered in Colorado, so I don't have to worry about California **** emissions rules!

You guys are confusing some say there cars are daily drivers they haven't had any problems except for normal issues. Other come on and basically say turboing a z and making it a daily driver you are just waiting for the engine to blow up. Does anyone have an anwer to this question or do turbo z suck as daily drivers.

Less stock / more issues
It all depends on how much extra work your willing to put into it. Everyones veiw of how much is too much is different. Too many varibles of what you could go with, how good of an install etc...
It's just more work than starting her and checking the oil time from time. No good answer here.
it is basically a crap shoot. Some get 8 miles and some get 50K+ miles. If you can't afford to play then stay away. A good tune doesn't also guarantee your engine is going to last long. For example Alberto had a good EMS/Tune and all extra to make his car extra safe and his car didn't go past 3K miles, but we all know he really drive his car hard. MIAPLAYA has thousands of miles on his car on a reflash w/o any major problem...
