+1^!!!!!! I think this topic is never-ending tho. Every car/ driver is different. Its always gonna have a differentiating factor that will lead to a positive/ negative experience with a turbo...

But I'm curious about the same thing. I'm just trying to find out whats the most tried and succesful setup for RELIABILITY... And yes, we all know staying STOCK is the safest, but guys like us are just trying to take the most SAFE risk possible

Back to the other question of F/I for a daily driver; if you are not mechanically inclined, I would not recommend it. However, if you are, at least well enough to know when something is going wrong, and to change the oil on a regular basis, AND you don't push the car to the limit (10,000+ HP ), it should be fine.

+1 to having knowledge and/or being mechanically inclined

But I'd say knowledge is the most important thing otherwise you'd have no idea what issue the car is having if it did have one

If you want the car to last forever on the stock motor then I would be looking at turbos, just my opinion.

First thing I will say then is.... DO NOT BUY A BOOST CONTROLLER! You will want to play with it, and adjust the boost, and that is the moost common way to blow up your motor. Just let the turbo kit run on spring pressure, and don't keep your car in boost all the time. The way you drive will depend on how long your car will last. I have known people to last 30,000-40,000 miles turbo'd and never a problem. Then again, I have know people who have turbo'd ther car and lasted a month.

Don't you mean that you WOULDN'T be looking at turbos, since FI reduces the life of the engine???
