Default Making Power Over 6700 RPM?

Can anyone post some dyno graphs of FI cars making power over 6700RPM? Please list the mods done to the motor. Thanks!

+1. I would like to see one as well. I am hoping my car will make power above 6700, once it is completed. I have a cams, port work, and a built bottom in.

Making power above 6k rpms is going to be dependent on multiple factors including boost. Higher boost is tougher due to flow limitations - so not sure how helpful that link is (because it shows only a 6 and 8 psi curve). I'm having trouble finding JT's experiment with cutting all the runners off the stock lower plenum - that should've shifted the torque curve way to the right. Anyone recall this or got a link?

It's been my understanding that the lower plenum from RevUps will allow power to be acieved all the way to 7k.

I plan on bringing my polished MREV2 and stock lower plenum to PF when I go down there.

They help some from 6000-6500+ but not enough IMO to warrant the TQ drop and weak midrange it provides. I tried this years ago in my stock block set-up and made bad peak numbers even. IMO its a BS mod but I know Jet wont agree because he has it.

Jet-look for Forefedz's dyno making power to at least 7000rpm (he revs to 8300rpm's) with BC stage 2 cams, stock heads otherwise.

If you can rev that high just by switching out cams and the other head components, that is definitely something to look at that is dirty.

Hal,

do you guys change out the valve seats on the heads you do? My head man recommended to not go with oversize valves on my heads. He said that there just isn't room on the stock seat to accomodate them and I wouldn't gain any flow unless going to a larger seat. What do you usually do?

Isn't that Mike's car? Does he still have his custom plenum and front facing throttle body?
