Default lookin for some opinions any input appriciated

ok i have a 03 track that i just put a vortec kit on. i purchased the kit used and did the install myself. i am using the ssbox and everything that came with the kit except for a custom cold air intake and a 3.12 pully. i have a 5/16 plenum spacer, test pipes and a true dual exhaust. now i ahve a couple questions everything seems to be running well and working fine im making about 7lbs of boost which seems fine to be being a mile above sea level. but just recently i noticed a bad smell whenever i drive.. at first i thought it was just clutch because i burned it a little while driving but i noticed the same smell over and over.. i asked a few friends to smell and we decided it smells like burnt coolent.. my first thought was a blown head gasket, but the exhaust was not smoking and i dont see any sign of oil in the coolent or coolent in the oil.. just today however i noticed a little bit of white smoke after the car warms up though it is kinda cold out so im not sure if that is all it is.. what is everyones opinion on what is wrong, and what do you recommend i do? and problem #2 i notice that when im driving lightly accelerating it sounds like the bypass valve is letting air out.. i was under the impression that air should only come out when i let off no while accelerating at all.. under heavy acceleration its fine.. is that something i just need to adjust at the bypass valve? thanks for any help you can give!

I think the ssbox is good for the stock motor only. If you are running Spacer test pipe and exhaust, you should have modify the ssbox or upgrade to utec and have it tune.

your bypass valve will be partially open under partial load, just like you described. thats just fine.

as for your smoke, white can be water/steam as in bad head gasket. but who knows. have you dont a compression or leak down test? that would tell you quickly if thats your problem
