I'm just curious and making sure you are on the right track here - are you grinding 5th, or do you just have a hard time getting it in? Are we sure it isn't because of the shifter plate (not sure what it's called exactly) not being adjusted properly? If you press down on the shifter a bit when going into 5th, does it help?

It seems as though it is SOME kind of plate. Because it seems as though when I shift into gears, they "sit" kind of at an angle (if that makes any sense). Such as, the gears usually sit and move at a 90 deg angle. But instead it seems as though they sit at a 95 angle. But I don't GRIND my gears at all. I just have trouble getting it into gear. I tried putting it in gear while the car is shut off, and it went in 5th gear smoothly when I pushed down a bit!!! It REALLY seems as though there is just some kind of misalignment somewhere. The tranny seemed fine before I changed the clutch. The shop will let me know tomorrow. Thanks for the tip in the meanwhile!!!

So lets say you no longer had warranty... how much would it cost for the 009 tranny alone?

Not sure if your coming at me or not.. But I could care less what people repeat, and we both know **** is repeated billions of times on here.... I put that out there, not cause I want to mindlessly state something doesnt work.. No, its because I had a really good friend with a sick PPW Z blow his engine with just his reflash ( flash- not sure if he confirmed it on a dyno ).. After that I had no more road dog.... Oh well right.....

Your point? I've seen numerous people blow their motors on UTEC and other EMS's with full tunes by well known shops. (Alberto and Jetpilot for instance)

It doesn't mean I'm going to run around and start preaching that the UTEC or these other piggybacks don't work.

Think about it...

Really? You're saying that someone ran a Turbonetics kit on a built motor with low compression and still ran the reflash??? If they did, they deserved to have blown it. I also find it interesting because I haven't seen a built motor blow running a Turbonetics kit. That's most likely becaues people usualy go with a TT setup on a built motor. I'd like you to show me the instance and then show me how it's caused by the kit.

If you want to make comparisons though, I've seen more built motors blown on APS TT's than I have any other kit that I recall (Zivman, Julian, and marluci's old car that the other forum member bought). I've also seen many Greddy TT built setups blow headgaskets and other engine components. However, I'm not so naive to blame it on the turbo kit!

I'm not being stubborn at all, just saying that you're basing your ideas and information on knowledge that is incorrect.

I never baaaased the engines blown on any kit or ems...... I simply said UTEC w/ TN ST would be favorable............................................. Thats it Taurran........ Thats it.....................................

If the OP is going to go with only a flash...... Thats awesome........

Sooooooooooo. Turbo kit is on and the car and it SCREAMS!!!!! Running an open wastegate... And the final dyno #'s are...............

388 whp / 355 lb tq!!! More than what I was expecting! The car is just AMAZING!!!!! MY GOD I LOVE IT!!!!! But it's SOOOO SOOO freakin loud! I'm glad I replaced the clutch and put the new SS clutch line in as well. It feels WAY smoother and nice BIG BIG BIG ups to S&R in Tampa and Taylor and Mike especially. They did a SUPERB job on the install. SUPER SUPER clean, EXTRA wrapped everything and it looks just PERFECT. The car runs SO smooth now, IMO. it's everything I wanted it to be, and more I'll post pics and vids soon

Awesome! Those are some great numbers for an out of the box kit. Are you running the reflash still? See ya around.
