Default Vortech 2.62

What level of boost does the 2.62 pulley create on the revup engine? Would It be safe on stock internals? Finally, which set up would produce more power: 2.87 pulley with a 7200rpm redline or 2.62 pulley with a ~6600rpm Redline?

pistons are still being cleaned. Its a slow process( i work on it about 2 hrs every weekend) They soak, i clean, rinse and then they soak again. I think im about to have them done cleaning and then ill start prepping for pc.

I have to go get some snap ring pliers to take them all apart.

I saw another set on ebay for about 50 shipped......about picked them up so i could have a piston/rod for every number but decided not too. Too much cleaning, pc'ing and work.

for a color scheme:

Pistons: Gold on the gold, black for the rest
rods: all black, rod bearings left un pc'ed or red.

Sweet, that thing is going to be huge and weigh around 50 lbs! Can't wait to see it. Great color scheme as well.

the key to making power on a vortech setup for the revup is to change the cog pulleys to a non revup configuration (i learned this the long hard way)! the 2.62 serp pulley is way to small and you will be certain to have belt slipping issues. keep the 34 tooth j/s cog pulley run the 3.12 serp pulley and change the s/c cog to the 28 tooth. you will be more than impressed on what this will do for the revup! or you could run a 32 tooth j/s cog, 28 s/c cog, and a 2.87 serp pulley. this will give you a little more boost over the pulley setup i stated previously.

Default pulllies

Do you have to modify/mill the 28 tooth pulley for the supercharger? How much do you product with the 3.12/34/28 tooth setup?

28 tooth will bolt right on. i would estimate with the setup you noted you should be in the 11 to 12 psi range at 6600 rpm on the Sc-trim depending on your breathing mod's. i am running a Si-trim and was seeing 14 psi at 6600 rpm.

Default pulleys

What kind of power would you see with 2.87/34/30 or 28 pulley setup on a 06 revup motor with all the NA boltons?

a combo of 2.87/32/28 will yield around 420 to 430rwhp with a good piggy back, tune and exhaust system with HFC or test pipes. another great upgrade for the revup is the M-REV lower plenum with the 5/16 spacer and iso thermal kit. i performed this mod and the outcome was great! I could definately feel the gain in tourqe which the vortech needs anyway especialy with the revup engine.

dont do the 34/28/2.87 you will over spin the blower. stay with the 2.87,32/28 or 3.12/34/28.

Default Boost levels

Can somebody post the boost levels with the different pulley combos for the revup engine? Also, post ~hp/tq levels with each combo? Thanks in advance!
