Speed Limiter / Rev Limiter / Fuel Cut?
Hi guys,
i am getting a greddy tt kit
and we decided to opt for the utec system.
I own a 05 non rev-up.
my question is how would i be able to remove the speed limiter?
would i need to send the ecu out to get it reflashed? Also has anyone tried using the greddy Speed Limit Cutter for the nissan/toyota applications?
Same goes for the rev limiter? is it better to use the utec and have a lower "soft" rev limiter that isnt as intrusive as the stock one is?
Also i know some cars have Fuel cuts. is the z have one as well?

You dont need to stop the fuel cut off. i hit 165 before my fuel cut me off and i dont think theres a reason to go faster than that.
as for your question, i dont think you can do it with a reflash. you might need some kind of ems.

Ive heard from a few members that run APS TT w/Unichip that their speed limiters disappeared. I usually wouldnt trust such claims, but Bian (briguymax) stated this and I know he is an honest guy...
If you're gonna reflash, I'd highly recommend spending the $200 extra and get Osiris from UpRev (since it comes with Cipher, which is a great tool for diagnostics if you choose to go FI).
