A/C line removal for TN kit

But, in the case of refrigerant from one car, it really won't make any sort of difference considering that the same car is running very rich with no catalytic converters.
I find it interesting that anyone from a performance shop is making environmental arguments, especially one that tends to install a lot of street illegal mods and pollutes the atmosphere with the contents of blown motors.

I find it interesting that you believe you can assume that I can't make 'environmental arguments' just because of my place of employment.

BTW, I dispose of my used oil in creeks and ponds, if I can't find a playground anywhere.
It's like the EPA going after supercars since they make big power and get low MPG, they don't factor in the fact that people only drive them hundreds of miles maybe 1-2 thousand miles a year. The 350Z has I think 1.2lbs of freon, on any given day hundreds of cars are crashed and the freon is lost. Maybe once a week 1 person with mods to their car cracks a freon line and bleeds it off into the air so they don't have to pay someone to remove it. I believe most of the laws/fines are in place for large shops to keep them from dumping 10-20-30-40 cars worth of freon on a daily basis. Does anything I just said make dumping freon ok? no, but in the big picture, does it really make a difference?

Its like littering, its illegal for a reason, to keep everything clean, big company or just one little individual, its no different. Sure if I throw a gum wrapper on the ground its no big deal, but its the thought behind it; once one person does it, others think its ok. So everyone thinks it won't make a difference if they do it, but that kind of thinking leads to big problems when you combine everyone that thinks that way.

How often does a person who is really into modding their car have to deal with removing freon? 1 in how many people? and for those people that do need it done, how often does it get done? once in a lifetime? Unless I do another Z I doubt I'll have to deal with the freon (removing) on any car. I see no reason as to why I would have to.
So while trash is something people have on them everyday and if everyone littered, it would be a very bad thing, however freon, maybe one person a day in the country if not a week has a reason to empty the freon, do keep in mind, most people want to keep the freon in their cars. On top of that, I think way more then half of the people who do things like a TN kit are not willing to touch the car them selfs and pay someone to do it for them so that makes the #s even lower since shops will remove the freon within state laws or they face the risk of heavy fines or maybe even getting shut down.
Refrigerant R-134 has NOTHING to do with Global Warming, The concern is with OZONE depletion, the ozone layer, and R-134 is a hfc (hydroflorocarbon) not a cfc ( chloroflorocarbon ) CFC is the bad one. As some have replied earlier just take it to a garage that does A/C work and have the charge recovered. When the work is done have them pressure test it and if sound put the original charge back in. If others are worried about global warming they should not be doing FI on their vehicles, the more fuel burned = higher carbon discharge = global warning. BTW I like warnm weather.
Am I really reading this correctly?
Global Warming? and Chudson referencing carbon credits????
WTF is wrong here? I don't know about the rest of your, but I am sitting here reading through a car forum, looking at the temp sitting a blistering 0 degrees and you all are referencing global warming and carbon credits???
Liberal BS FTL......

Now everyone go dump your used motor oil into the storm sewers and vent A/C refridgerent to the atmosphere.
