We will see if it holds!

i stripped the threads for my strut. anyone with knowledge on the helicoils want to help me out on picking out what i need to buy? i looked on their site and have no idea what is right for me.
Are you refering to the strut bar between the front strut towers?
Helicoils are used on machined parts like the engine block. For the front strut holes I would say just drill the existing threads out and tap to the next size.

Personally --- because of the hassles you have had...... IF you ended up with a good sealant "squash" as I call it...another words feel secure with the seal (and I hope you used OEM RTV--Nissan,Chev,International, etc.) I would flush the holes with CRV electrical spray or lacquer thinner, inject it with a good commercial epoxy, snug the bolts and walk away for the night
As with advice I give ---I have done this. You MUST feel secure about your seal
All components where there is no margin of error, should use the OEM RTVs ..Iv used the Ultras for years, but now I swear by the OEM...The security is worth the few extra $$$s
