Guys, try to equip your cars with DV cams or some way to get a shot from inside your car. The more of these, the better our final edited video will be. I will have one DV cam sitting out on a tripod by the finish line, running continuously. No one better hit it!!!

Flying down to Forged and driving to the event, may hang out for a couple of days and then shooting back to NYC.

Has a decision been made on how we're running the cars? First gear roll? Second gear roll? Dig? Throw in a chicane in the middle of the straight, lol? How much distance for the run and how much for deceleration? etc...

The drive to the event might be interesting from Forged then with XKR, you, Jamez, and myself along with whoever else comes along.

I'll be there for the final tune on my car May 10th-15th and then drive up as well. Let's find a road near Marietta to do some testing Phil .

It can't be a dig as that will definitely **** off the airport owner - I think Dil already agreed with him it would be rolling runs with no burn outs. If you spin a bit going through gears, nothing we can do about that, but the goal is not to coat the runway in rubber. 30-40 mph roll is what I'm thinking will work if people can sync up at that speed quickly enough. So 1st gear roll? Or 2nd gear roll depending on your strategy on street tires...

So we're looking at starting off in 2nd gear pull (~40mph)... Is the idea to have start cones and stop cones?

Yup, were gonna do a few practice runs to plan everything out.
The plan is just to have cones there and accelerate at the cones. And shut down at the other end where the cones are (stoping point) which should give us 2000 feet of playing room.

I guess I personally feel no reason to talk trash because I don't have any other built 5ATs to compete with. Heck, I guess I could lift my foot off the gas each time I see you guys shift just to be fair. lol

Is there a 1/4 mile track near FP? I wouldn't mind going out Wed for some "practice" if someone else is game and it's close by...

EDIT: Oh yeah, guys, if you're not a standard "large" T-shirt size, specify your size in your build specs or post it here. I'm trying to get Injected and Forged to share some goodies . I know Forged has T-shirts, not sure if Injected has them ready to go also (ie "in stock")... This is a big maybe right now. Next year we'll get "Top Dawg" T-shirts made up in advance.

I see what you mean. It is because download speeds (back to you) are wimpy. Uploading is much better. I also see I cannot do a "save target as" because it is trying to use the anonymous login instead of the user. WTH? IE sucks. Let me see what I can do. I can't turn security off because I get random attacks on the server almost hourly.

When you click on the smaller documents, it opens up for you, correct?

You can't pick on a stock block. Everyone's afraid to take on the built 5AT - jeez.

What do you think of giving stock blocks a 1 second (50 ft?) head start against built blocks?

Yes, I am afraid of the 5AT...expecially when I am about to have less traction than before

1 sec would be kool

The 5AT's are going to be the sleepiers, and will end up being victorious. You would be surprised how much faster the 5AT's are....at the same power levels from a nice slow roll. At least that is my prediction.

The 6MT guys will be struggling for traction, and missing gears in the process...haha!
