I have been doing a little research and in most states gas stations do not have to acknowledge the use of ethanol!!! Thankfully Ga isn't one of them.
I always thought that ethanol inhanced the octane rating but this isn't necessarily true! Ethanol has a shelf life of 1-2 weeks and then it begins to condensate (produce moisture!!!!)! think about that most people that fill up in gas get 87 low octane and it makes me wonder how long 93 sets before it gets to your tank. Ethanol when mixed in lower percentages actually can lower the octane level by 1-4 octane and effect fuel mileage by up to 20%!

This speaks about the octane levels and for $25 you can test for the amount of ethanol

GA and TN is required to label the pumps if the mixture contains more than 1.5% ethanol!
14 states doesn't have to label at all and they can see upwards of 40% ethanol!!! My shop is actually doing a tune for this e10 crap!!! So that means I will have 4 maps!
map 1- low boost
map 2- high boost 93 octane no ethanol
map 3- ethanol tune (really low boost)
map 4- top dawg event

Good to see we've only got a few "maybes" to get on board.
I'll be setting up individual FTP folders for those on the race list. I'll send you a short PM with the URL and password for your own folder this weekend. You can upload pics that you're willing to have published. Each folder will have a build.doc file that describes your car and a short description in your own words. I'll provide a template. All of this is optional and what I can scrounge from past posts of your car on the forum to save you some trouble, I will do. Feel free to delete pics in your folder that you don't want to go to print. This stuff will only be shared with Nissan Sport magazine and you will need to sign a release for them. That said, I can't be liable for security of the ftp site, so don't share pics if security is critical (I'll do my best to keep it safe). Please do not put private information on the FTP site (address, phone #s etc).
If you don't get a PM by Monday, let me know. Thanks guys - looking forward to this!

Greg,
I think you or Hal are running a street car, correct?
Let us know and we'll get you on the list (it will be reflected as PAID already, of course)!

Almost got this FTP site working. Only problem is that accessing it using IE 7 is hopeless. Apparently MS really messed up their implementation of FTP in this browser. Need someone running FireFox on the participant list to shoot me a PM to test that for me.
EDIT: Or can someone recommend a free, light weight, easy to use FTP client?
EDIT2: Hang in there. Running IIS FTP service between firewalls is more trouble than I originally anticipated.
Specifically running in PASV mode, which web browsers generally do, is causing issues with NAT. You can log in, but can't see data - still working on it.

The spectator price has changed again, since our first time around we didn't get that much response from spectators, the price is going back down to $20.00 a person IF THEY PAY BEFORE THE EVENT.
OR IT IS $30.00 DAY OF AT THE DOOR OF THE EVENT.
PLEASE SEND ALL PAYMENTS TO PAYPAL ADDRESS: Diseffect1069@yahoo.com

Ok, the FTP site is working, as confirmed by App6mt (thanks man). Waiting to hear from Dil and Mike and then the rest of you will get your passwords...
I got IE7 to work also, but to upload files you have to use the "Page" drop down menu and actually open the site using Windows explorer.
