Default Headlight condensation...

Do any of you FI guys (particularly the turbonetics guys) experience bad condensation in your driver side headlight?? Ever since I installed my TN kit my driver side headlight has been condensing pretty bad. Ive opened up the headlight and painted it black (just for looks) a few days ago and it seemed to have gone away. But today I noticed that its back again... I know theres gonna be more heat on that side of the car due to the turbo, but I was curious if others experienced this as well... I dont have my heat shield on right now, but I have a turbo blanket comin this week (hopefully will keep the heat away)..... Anyone?

You need to silicon the two black housings together at the seam.

I used black silicon!

Sometimes the don't seal properly.

So did I! But there was condensation even before I sealed it up... Now theres condensation again after putting extra silicone on... Hopefully the turbo blanket will help that from happening... I just removed some bulbs and left the hood open in the garage... Hopefully that'll help dry it up for now

you didn't seal it up properly. You must take off all old silicone before putting new silicone on. It's a very time consuming job which is why i just like stock headlights. After the condensation dries up, it leaves your headlights looking hazy because of the dirty water drying up.

yeah i know. It's most likely due to the heat taht is built up on that side and makes the oem adhesive loosen up and get moisture trapped in.

Never had that problem. I don't think it's link to the TN kit.

It's not really the turbo. It was cold and humid this morning (here in Tampa) so it is more likely to condense in the enclosure. The humidity is already in there. It's just a matter of having cold air outside and warm air inside that causes it to condense.
