Vortech V3 Blowers? Self contained oil.
It appears that Vortech has followed ATI's lead with a "sealed oil" blower. I guess that's the epitome of saving money. . .no more oil feed/return nonsense.
V3 "Self Contained" oil blower
Seeing as how the procharger on my dad's C6 has gone from CT to CO with 0 problems, (I think he's got about 5k with the blower on) I wonder if it'd be worth while to wait and see if they develop a specific blower for our cars?
I've been sitting for almost a year on my tuner kit (purchased from PF during the "death months" last summer) and have been contemplating upgrading to an Si trim right from the get go. Now, I guess I'll have some more options. . .
Anyone else interested to see how this works out? Or better yet, does anyone know how vortech's part# system works? I assume the housings have to be somewhat universal, with only the direction of the outlet, mounting points, etc as the differences.
I'd be glad to go trailblazing for everyone with this. . .
