I just got mine done as well. I wrapped my A/C line twice, no problems yet, but I've only driven about 5 hours on it. Also, did you use an oil pan spacer instead of tapping the block? I've heard of some people getting their drain line backed up and too much oil in the turbo. May not be the cause, but something to check if you have one.

About the exhaust, my car is soooo quiet now, just the TN kit with stock muffler and midpipe. I had my roomate drive by me outside, all i hear is the air from the car going past, a little bit of whirrr from the turbo, and barely any exhaust noise, super sleeper I call it haha, but no more of the exotic sound. I'm going to look for a new muffler in a few months, hopefully I can dig up a used one to give it the throaty sound back. I don't need anything too loud. And as far as the ricer look, my roomate has a 3 inch exaust for his supra, you can see a lot of the piping from the rear, and the muffler has a 4 inch tip, its just huge. i wouldn't mind having that look, sounds amazing though, so low and deep, and it just roars. amazing how much different the 2jz sounds from the rb26's hi pitched exotic sound.

Hear so many damn stories, any idea about the slight misfire? My mechanic thinks it may have something to do w the reflash and he's callin turbonetics first thing next week
First of all, I'd like to say that misfiring or smoking has absolutely NOTHING to do with the reflash. I'm quite frankly amazed at some "mechanics" incompetence sometimes...

If its smoking out of the hood area, it's all that R134A refreidgerant that you spewed out of your busted AC line baking and burning off the piping. It'll do this for a while and smell bad until it's thoroughly burnt off.

For your misfiring issue, change your plugs to 1-step colder plugs. Also, a random multiple cylender misfire code is absolutely normal on these cars, but seems pretty random. I got it about 3 times on my stock block setup and it never came back.

For your AC line issue, there is plenty of info on these forums about how to wrap and route the AC line properly. Header wrap does not work to fully shield an AC line. You have to use something like DEI fire sheath or DEI Cool tube extreme.

Wrong. Smoking turbos are most likely caused by improper oil return line routing in 95% of situations. Any turbo will fry seals without proper return line routing. Just look at all the Garrett turbos in the APS ST and TT kits that have started smoking. It will happen with any turbo.

Not necessarily. I got my mult cyl misfire codes upon starting the car. It seems to be pretty random. Is it multiple cylinders or a single cylinder?

Blow-by? Do a compression check just in case.

^Taurran is right....I had that same problem... so with the oil pan spacer we had, we had to drill the oil return line lil higher to stay above oil level....also it will also help if oil fittings and lines from the turbo and into the turbo are a 90 or 45 degree angle so the oil won't get backed up in there...

If the kit is new give it some time as posted above it will more than likely be all the new pipes and wrap. The same thing happened to me after I put the kit on and the smell was bad but after time it will be fine. Another thing is make sure all the lines ( Oil ) are not kinked or the drain makes a smooth transition into oil pan.
