Well, if you are a shop and need to stay on schedule to keep customers happy, what can they do? Granted its not smart to drive a high hp car on slick roads but if it keeps raining do they just postpone the finish date on the vehicles?

yes!!!

safety 1st
...its jsut 1 more day o maybe even jsut a few more after if the weather clears and dries up.....thats assuming what you cant do anymore on the dyno as well....all this still assuming he is at fault ont eh accident cause teh fact that the big truck didnt see him and might have cut him off is still a possibility

R.I.P. James Turner. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this horrible tragedy. God Bless.

Alright, so disapoint a customer b/c his cars not ready OR disappoint a customer because his car is totaled and a life taken for an absolutly unnessacary reason.

I agree, chances are the owner of the car would have been upset he had to wait another day or two to get his car back due to rain.

For all we know he was just taking a simple test ride and figured, hell, why not get on it once.

yea im just saying shops do it all the time, test drive cars. Saying they wont test drive the car before releasing to owners is un realistic. What if it rains for weeks? Who knows, maybe it was the trucks fault.

thats really sad. 2 students at Universal Technical Institute just died from a car accident.

I know almost know how hard it is for the family (my bro spent ICU for 1 year after my family's accident) he's paralyzed now (waist down)

Maybe we should see if we could send some flowers or something.
Sounds weird, for a forum to send flowers and/or a card. But after my family's car accident, appreciation and care really felt good from strangers.

I would be in for donating. Maybe one of the vendors that knows the shop could set something up...
