OK even though this question is off topic to what the conversation is about, it does refer to what the thread started off talking about...will the replacement of cams help out the Z engine even though I don't have any serious mods? My car only has CAI and hks exhaust, but a friend of mine who is running 450whp in a talon said that one of the best mods he did to his car was nice cams. Granted he's turboed but I wanted to ask the question to see if getting new cams is worth it.

True. I just figured the guys with built motors would know the answer. Do you know though that if since our car is a dohc that we have 4 cams total? 2 for each side?

I won't quote your message. I'll give you a chance to delete it and pretend you never posted it.

jb you can quote me all you want. I dont give a **** if you want to try and make me look stupid. I posted a question because I am not a mechanic and I did not know the answer. I appreciate your concern for my well-being, but people like you dont threaten me...this is a d@mn forum so get over the fact that people will ask questions that you feel like you have been raised so far above everyone else that everything any person says is stupid. Congratulations on wasting my time.

Ok, I'll play nice, even though this isn't really related to the discussion.

Cams are expensive (you have to buy four, not two like your Talon friend) and they are expensive to install. It's been repeated so many times on here its not ever funny: NA mods are garbage and a waste of money. You'll pick up a little power, but not enough to justify what you'll spend. Just save up for a turbo or supercharger if you really want a bump in power.

ha oh yeah I'm crying my eyes out right now. I just wanted an answer to a question that Jamez was simple enough to answer. People like JB should have special sections on the forum that they can only post in so they can all just annoy each other and leave the forum to be what it was meant for...a pool of free knowledge to help other enthusiasts (no pun intended). If you want to feel like you (jb) have the special authority to be a d!ck, then by all means go ahead and pretend :-)

But they had already done the tear down and inspect so I had to pay them for that labor. Then I had to take the disassembled engine to my current builder (who is very familar with the VQ35) to have the work done and be reassembled. All this has cost me time.
Slightly old topic, but not ancient... this is exactly what I regret as well. The first place I towed it to after the big bang wanted something like $13,000 to take out motor, rebuild with some things I didn't even want (such as CP pistons instead of Arias ED, they don't deal with Eagle rods, etc)... ended up paying them for the motor pull and went with a pre-built long block with everything I wanted. In the end, after shipping the old motor, receiving the new motor and installing it, I was still $4,000 ahead of his price.

I didn't have the satisfaction of working with 1 shop for the entire process, but everything has turned out well so far, so I can't complain a whole lot. I did lose a lot of stock items throughout the process though and it made a slight mess of the engine bay, but I'm slowly returning all the stock goodies. (still pissed about the clips on my hood struts gone... the struts pop out of the ball stud if the hood is lifted too high, and everywhere I've looked for these they only come with a new set of struts)

Default RC Engineering Fuel Injectors

I count at least 5 posts in which people regret using the RC Engineering Fuel Injectors. I would greatly appreciate hearing the specific issues people have had with these injectors.

Is it performance problems, problems with injector failure, or both?

Do the RC Injectors only work well with certain EMSs? If so, do they work well with an HKS F-CON V Pro?

I have the same question. I have the 750CC RC injectors and would like to know what to look for if there is a potential problem. Thanks in advance.
