I just don't see the car making that kind of power with any kind of major leak present. You made 408whp from the original post, which is still a bit of a stretch in my mind. 430 would be an assumption based on an unreliable source.

We also have a superflow that crushes dreams lol NA with all exteral mods plus cams I dynoed 260+ on the superflow/ but on the old mustang dyno....... 311WHP!!! dynoed one week apart lol

p.s. you know how you calibrate mustang dyno's? COPY SUPERFLOW NUMBERS from a superflow car!!!!! LOL joking........
Hah... yeah I see what you mean. I personally wouldn't trust a Mustang dyno unless I was just comparing before/after numbers on the same machine. But really, that's all that *any* dyno is made to do.

Thats a stupid statement. People should be happy stating their dyno numbers along with type of dyno used. Trying to guess what it would do on another dyno is worthless. Only dyno queens and credit card racers do that. You want dynojet numbers? Take it to one.

JET, i agree with dynojet being industry standard, but you shouldnt try to replicate it on a different dyno, and at least not be OPEN about it...
I know for example MRC does put a correction sometimes on his dynojet sheets but he mentions it when he does it and what correction he uses it.

THe problem is when n00bs dont understand that, or a shop give a sheet and a noob applies the correction again.

In the end you cannot claim a dynojet number till you take it to a dynojet

Didn't SP make 463ish on their Mustang dyno on a stock motor on 10psi. And just over 500rwhp at 13psi? (fyi their dyno reads within like 5% of all the dynojets in the area....I did back to backs with my lightning in the past)

BTW that car also trapped 124mph so it backed up the dyno numbers.

I know i'm an SP nutswinger lol (I have to be )

Understand that with corrections and load settings that these dynos can basically read anything you want. On a Mustang dyno you could make a stock Z show 430whp without corrections if you wanted to.

OK guys I'm trying to get this straight. Are all of you thinking that there was a dynojet correction applied to his 408 rwhp post? Zcon why don't you just post up a copy of your run?

If he retuned to compensate for the water/meth injection, it's probably not far off. Automatically assuming it's making 430ish whp on a dynojet is.

Oh I know, but like I said, the car also ran 124mph at the track....thats where you can't fudge the numbers (well not without going to great lengths anyway lol).

I use the dyno as a gauge for changes (seeing how much something helped or hurt the power). I'm not as concerned with the absolute number.

Its at the track or the "closed course" where everything matters

I know. I have no idea how we ended up on a tangent about SP's dyno. But, the point is that even though they're both labeled Mustang they most likely read entirely different numbers.

Absolutely, I agree. People shouldn't get so hung up on these numbers.

PS. I'm just going insane waiting for steady nice weather around here

Taurran I agree with you and everyone that the 430 is an assumtion that shouldn't be made.

Ideally, you should have done a baseline on that Mustang dyno and then hooked up the meth kit and did your retune and see what you came up with. That way you know what the actual gains were.

Go to the track and trap 120mph...Then we will believe these Mustang dyno numbers are realistic. I bet you will make 380-400whp on Jeremy's dyno when you come down.
