Overheating when AC on at low speeds, HELP!!!
I recently swapped out the stock radiator with a Koyo rad and bc of the vortech piping, I wasnt able to put back the stock fan shrouds. At the time NAPA only had a 16" flex a lite fan so I put that on the koyo rad and then put a 10" fan on the front side (pusher fan) near the driverside. I had them wired up so they both stay on when the temps go up.
So today, it was extremely hot and the first time I turned on the AC since last yr. It seemed perfectly fine until 30 mins of stop and go driving and the water temps kept going up (almost 3/4 H). It will eventually go back to normal once I turn off the AC or if I drive on the freeway. I bled it out like 3-5 times but I couldnt see any air bubbles come out. At this pt I dont know what to do
To recap, car overheats when AC on at go n stop situations but it doesnt on freeway runs. Car also doesnt overheat when AC not on.

Bro go buy a cheap $40 water temp gauge that plugs into the OBDII, the oem water gauge = FAIL!!!
Make sure the car is up to temp before you start purging. Also not to insult your intelligence but you need to rev the car pass 5K to get the bubbles out.
Also make sure your fans are actually working right (i.e they turn on and off when they are supposed to).
I am leaning on the side very hard that you still have bubbles, for example it took me almost an hour to purge my koyo when I installed it, and then a couple of more time later that day.
Keep purging and see what happens

I had an issue like this on my Acura CL last summer. My temp gauge would start moving up every time I was in stop and go traffic or if it idled for awhile. I replaced my thermostat and coolant and nothing seemed to fix it. It turned out that one of my two radiator fans was not connected. I was suprised that just one fan not working would cause this much trouble but once I plugged in the second fan everything was fine. I think you really need to get some sort of shroud around your fans as the air is not being properly ducted and pulled through the radiator.

Just cuz you get hot air doesn't necessarily mean your car has no air.
