its only been a month for me. To speed up the process, imn probably gonna buy one those built blocks by either IPP or forged perf. it still takes about a month but itll be faster than me buying the parts and then taking it to a shop.

I don't understand, why does it take any shop anywhere around a 4-6+ month timeframe to get one engine complete and built? Other work already in progress or quicker incoming work?

Down time seriously leads to bad habbits!
Things that I have been doing lately:
-Clubbing
-Gambling
-Drinking
-Keep buying parts with a good excuse...Well I dont wanna pay double labor may as well just buy it now.

And I dont think I can get to enjoy driving it after I get the car back. Freaking gas hit $4.45 !!!!!

For those who can have a beater, I really jealous! I cant even afford one right now, I can only drive my G35 and the best I could ever get was 23mpg, sometimes i get like 17mpg...sigh...

With 93 octane at 3.70 it seems like my Z is on down time. I would rather pay $12 a week on gas and use my GSX-R to go to work than $60 to fill up my Z evey 4 days.

I'm pretty sure I have most of you beat on downtime. I picked up other hobbies along the way. Most recent being R/C helicopters.

One time I rented a Lotus Elise and took that to the track, blew out the rear diff. Didn't really like the Elise.

I just look at it like when I get my car back, It will be a new car, and not the same car I owned before.

I'm too old to drink and party. I've just spend my time without the Z finding new ex's and getting banned from forums.

How much do they pay you over there? Damn.. I'm an airline pilot and can only afford one hobby barely and your out renting Lotus's and flying RC helicopters. I guess the economy isn't hurting over there.
