Default How to live thru downtime!?

I am sure alot of people in FI section went thru this, but in the past 3 months with my motor being built, it feels worse than being dumped by a hot-gf... How do you guys live!? what do you guys do when you are waiting for it!?

Current status waiting to be sleeved...sigh...

its even more painful for me bc i am doing my build in my garage so I have to look at it everyday.

It was easy the past few months because it was cold and it wouldnt matter anyways, but now I am getting antsy. Xbox Live is what really keeps me sane

I've always had a couple fast vehicles and made sure to never have them both down at the same time. Some guys buy bikes to get them through. Or if in a cold climate, have it done in the winter.

My built long block took 12 months plus to complete. Then the car went to the shop in the beginning of July of 07 and til now. It's almost done though. I work more hours when i don't have my car to drive around. Plus 6 months of Winter really helps too.

Wow didn't know the turn around was that long on a built fi set up! So if I were to make an appointment to drop off my car at forged, performance factory , or Mrc for a basic built motor And a t t setup with everything, it would take over 3 months for it too be done?

its very possible. stuff like that doesnt need to be rushed, plus its not like a shop can just concentrate on your car only.
