Vacuum @ idle?
I have a Question.What should be my vacuum reading @ idle?
yes I did Search and dind't found any answer

My vacuum is 20@ idle on a Defi gauge...I have TT
Forget to mention that it was on a stock block @ 20

@idle it should be around 20 on a stock block.
If you are built with lower compression pistons, then it will be lower, like around 17-18 at idle.

if your gauge reads in boost while in vacuum mine read round 10 with stock block and around 8.5 on built block with 8.8 CR

it depends on where you live and your altitude. the higher up the lower the vaccume will read.

My gauge reads 14.7 on start up (std atmospheric pressure), and hovers around -5 to -6 at idle, built 9:1 compression. Haven't figured out yet how to get it to be a true boost gauge with zero offset instead of 14.7 (innovate auxbox map sensor).

well he is in Miami and he is asking what his gauge should read, so I think it would be safe for people to call out sea level readings.

Mine reads 20 on a Defi boost gauge at idle also.

I'm in a higher altitude is south Dakota and my vacuum reads -22-23
