Like JT said...do it right the first time or you'll be paying $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to fix it. Taking shortcuts on a build is not the way to go

You don't need a built motor to run 400whp.

looking to be as safe as possible, i dont want my engine blowing, i figure by minimizing the chances of blowing the motor itll save me money in the long run

There are all sorts of routes you can take. For instance, a Greddy TT kit with 3" DP and 3" exhaust will net you 400whp on 6psi and would be safe forever (with a proper tune).

Do you have a kit in mind, specifically since you mentioned 12 psi in your first post?

girdle aimed towards tha back of the motor
rod caps all mixed up and turned whatever way he wanted
i guess the piston wrist pin locks wouldnt go in the way he thought so he took some plyers and squished them until they fit
oil ring only had middle and top ring, oopppsss where do the rest of these go??
no balancing , no machine work, stock bore pistons with no ring filing
thrust washers?? who needs those!!
head studs tqed to probably around 45-50 ft pounds

i wonder why it wouldnt run??

dont let this guy build your motor!!
my god!!! this was all in one motor?!?!?!

sounds like a pro was building the motor lol. Well ive decided not to take any kind of risk since it seemed a little shady and am probably just going 2 buy ZU_L8Rs built shortblock at the end of the summer. no i didnt have a specific kit in mind i was originally going single but after talking with a buddy who has twins for about 2 hours 2day who started with a single, he said dont even waste my time and money. so now its going twin, but i have no idea what kit yet lol

I wouldn't say it's a waste of time really. Look at what taurran has done with his setup and the also new SFR single turbo is pretty sick. A lot of people will say "You'll always want more." Some people are happy at a certain power level, especially if they aren't taking their car to its true potential (redlining it while daily driving isn't full potential). But as it stands, the twin setups provide the most consistent/most popular high powered VQ's.
