ZdayZ '08 LEO updates......
I purposely wanted to start this thread in the FI section since I've seen some of the various roll-race vid's from last year and recognize the road.......The last part of the following paragraph probably pertains to you.

I'm worried the LEO's will have quite a presence at the Dragon
......especially by the weekend. Probably gonna mean exploring some of those cool NC roads....
Be careful out there.....the event will be here soon.
April 28: BULLETIN Motorcyle death on the Dragon - A 21 year old Hyabusa rider from Maryland became the first fatality of the year on the Dragon Monday night. Speed is said to have been a factor in the one vehicle accident near Parsons Branch.
April 25-27: A very busy Friday and Saturday with mostly motorcycles on the area roads. A large group of Busas were crossing the Cherohala Friday morning when one went down and the following bike hit it. Two riders were flown out with serious injuries. Sunday rains slowed traffic.
There is an unmarked white BCSO Expedition cruising the Dragon and calling ahead to marked units to pull over passing bikes and ticket them. They also have an unmarked black Explorer and black Mercury Marquis. We have also heard of tickets issued for 42 and 44 mph in the ridiculous 30 mph area. Remember that North Carolina has many great roads where the LEOs are not so unreasonable. Watch your speed on the 4-lanes.

Thanks for the heads up. The problem with the smaller roads is they are twisty. Too fast or a little bad judgment there means a ditch or down the mountain side.
Vent your straight line NFS addiction on the air strip!

Thanks for the heads up, but the location of the place where the video where taken, is a place "where if precaution is taken" there is no way for "Leo" to sneak up on you, well the chances are very minimal.

Expect a heavy presence if anyone else is killed up there between now and then......

The LEO is always out. It's really not bad we always see cops. Just remember to stay off the yellow line. I've been speeding by the cops before and they usually will go after the people that will not stay within their lane. And remember this is not racing it's just really fun driving.

This is why the track is the place for high performance driving.
A) I don't have to wory about running into a mountain or into a ditch. The track has generous runoff areas.
B) The fire trucks and air ambulance are at the track in case something happens.
C) We all required to wear helmets and other safety gear
D) We have corner workers who watch the course ahead for us
E) We have no oncomming traffic
F) All the drivers on the course know what they are doing
G) We don't have to worry about LEO's!
Deals Gap is such a waste of time. Have next years meeting at a track!

JETPILOT YOUR GHEY!
Why do you have to hate on Z days? Those roads are so much fun, and those accidents are caused by drivers just going a little to fast for thier own good. lasts years meet was WAY better than any track day I have been to. I mean if you only have been to the track once or twice, your going to think that nothing beats it. Z days is just a good old blast.
I had a dream the other day of you being decapitated by a tractor trailer at the tail of the dragon. Sooooo you definetly shouldn't go either.

I don't go out of the house anymore except to go to the track and pick up beer and hookers. Going out of the house is dangerous. I am actually considering using call girl services that would bring beer too. Then I would never leave the house. I has internets at home. What more do you need!

I got a $500+ ticket on the churohala(sp?) skyway last year. They could have carried me off to jail if if they decided to write the ticket for its actual value.
The county Sheriff in NC there seems pretty nice, but they bring in all of their money from the ticketing of motorists and their budget depends on people coming back.
