Default Tranny and diff oil for FI?

So I've been looking to change my tranny and diff fluid, and Im having a bit of trouble. I went to the stealership, and they wanna charge me $17/ quart for what they recommend! So my questions are:

-Should I be using a different oil type for an FI?
-Where can I buy this oil? (I've gone to places like pep boys, but no luck)

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm having a bit of trouble and I cult use some wisdom here

I actually spent a good hour last night searching some old posts on diff and tranny fluid. I decided just to buy Red Line fluids from SummitRacing.com next week probably. I couldn't find anything good in the stores by me (no Royal Purple, or really anything else that would have worked). And I'm not dropping $17/ qt on Nissan stuff.

If you search in the "Maintenance" section you'll find some good posts.

I'm going with...

50/50 mix of MTF and MT-90 for the tranny
75w-90 Gear Oil for the diff

The best rear diff fluid I've ever used, in any application, is AMSOIL Severe Gear. For the 350 you would want 75-90 unless you have an aftermarket clutch type diff as most of them use 75-140.

Severe gear is designed is high stress applications and high horsepower cars.

I use Amsoil severe gear 75-90 for the diff and Amsoil MT/T 75-90 for the trans.

the retail prices are $12.15/qt for the severe gear and $10.75/qt on the trans fluid. Of course it is a bunch cheaper if you are a dealer or preferred customer.

Haha, now that I said that I was going with the Red Line stuff for my tranny, I stopped by my local dealer and found out the Nissan 75w-85 MTF oil was only $10 /qt...and I needed something to do this weekend (didn't want to wait for the red line to get shipped). I can always switch to the red line next season. I'll for sure be ordering some diff gear oil from summitracing though.

I changed the diff fluid the other day and bought Mobil 1 75W90 GL5 synthetic@ Autozone for $6.99 per quart. BTW the diff takes 80W90 or 90 for hotter climates per the manual.

I bought that from Advanced at $8.95 a qt, but realized they didnt have any GL4 fluid for the transmission. So I returned it and ordered the Redline products.

I was reading online that the Mobile 1 GL5 meets the requirements of GL4 and can be used for both...but I wasn't going to risk it, as my synchros are already screwed up enough.

I've always been a fan of Redline MT90 for the trans and Shockproof heavy for the diff. Also hearing good things about Neo gear lube and amsoil's new MT gear lube (not sure on the specific name) but I have no direct experience with them.
