Default Vortech owners/3:12 pulley?

Looking for responce from anyone who has a Vortech s/c with 3:12 pulley set up. Can you guys tell me if anyone has had any blower issues after 3:12 istall?

What kind of issues are you having? Or are you just asking if people have issues with this pulley?

My s/c has blown 3x's and I had had no issues and then 6 months after I had 3:12 installd my blower issues started.(Just a coincidence) or are others seeing same thing. I don't want to give up 3:12 but added power is great.

It has got to be something else. The 3.12 pulley only speeds up the blower slightly, I cant see it causing all of your issues. I ran it for 6 months with no issues then I upgraded to the 2.87.

Agreed. Simply upgrading the pulley shouldn't cause issues unless you are constantly overspinning your sc. But just the upgrade alone doesn't cause issues.

No problems here. Much better response with the 3.12. 3rd gear pulls like 2nd gear with the 3.33.

Not impressive! Thats how it should be. aim for a safe power level with the tune somewhere around 400hp and 330 tq with a supercharger and it will last. I think you don't hear of many people blowing up vortech cars on here because of the lower torque compared to a turbo.

I went even safer and just have 330 on a DD though and plan on doing a 3.9 gear so it will feel pretty fast and will put even less stress on the motor (Though I did think the Meth Injection was good for 20whp or so but it didn't add much at all). I think as far as the blower issue there is or was something going on with who Vortech was getting their parts from. Seems like most guys who bought a Vortech before last fall are fine. I bought mine used and it has about 10k on it and it was originally purchased a year or so ago and I have had no issues.

With the 2.87 pully at over 6500 RPMs, that is coming from Vortech. I'm sure there is a cog pully combination that can do the same thing.

Vortech just shipped me a New blower we'll see how long new one lasts.

hey charged how do you have 438 hp with only a vortech 3.12 kit and a exhaust?????

Many have asked same question, my tuner's dyno reads high. This summr I will have redyno'd. I think I am around 400-420
