I don't want him to rush at all. It's similar to when Im operating.....it's not about how fast it gets done, it's all about the end result.

It was great to have the prelim info on the first couple of cars that Sam did before I pulled the trigger on mine. Im so glad the HKS SC came out when it did.

Besides existing bolt-ons, I plan to upgrade to the vpro, smaller GTM pulley, AFK, and possible fuel upgrade. Goal is a reliable ~375 whp dynojet, on 93 octane.
Sound like u'll have a great and unique setup! Is everything going to be done at once (s/c install and engine build)?

Also, since I have a G coupe, Sam agreed to make a supplemental kit so it will bolt on to my g35 (approx. 2-4 week to make the suppl. kit). I believe the kit was ordered early April, so hopefully it will make it's way to GTM shortly.

93 octane.....not here, Cali fail.
Sounds like we will be up and running around the same time or you may get finished sooner. The time for my project is dependent on the engine build. Everything else should only take about a week.
Yep, SC and Stroker all at once. It's actually less expensive in the long way to pony up for it all now. Im out of money after that so Ill have to come back for gauges, engine bay dress-up, Cosworth (or other) plenum, etc. I'm running the Nismo exhaust and Sam is going to try to make it all work with that but it may have to get switched out.
I will also have to get better rubber which will hopefully happen at the very end of the build. Currently running T1R's on Volk SF Challenge. Im going to change out to Enkei RPF1 in SBC finish with Toyo R888's ..... sizing and fitment as per Sam.

As far as compression, dont hold me to this but as I recall Sam was going to go around 10:1 to "let the engine do most of the work" and add the boost from the HKS SC as "icing" ... those were his words. I could be off on the number but will clarify it for you when I find out.

As far as the 10:1, right on. Thats how I would do it. If I could do my build over I would not have lowered the compression as low as I did using the Arias 8.6:1's.

It's going to be a 4.0L stroker with modified HKS Supercharger. The engine is going to be fully built with Stage 3 head work and GTM cam. Going with the F-Con V PRO. Staying with 600 cc injectors for smog reasons.
We went with the 4.0L instead of the 4.2 because it isnt that much less displacement and he wont have to sleeve it. It's primarily a street car/DD with occasional track and AC use. He has never done this set-up and Im psyched to see how it turns out. I know there are guys out there that are bigger and badder (I saw George's orange monster on the rack
) but this is going to be my own little California approved monster.

^^stop trolling hater. We all know u r a RA and JWT nuthugger. Calling one of the most respected and talented shops "fools" isn't helping ur cause either.
Face it bro, these kits sell themselves, they don't need someone to "hawk" them.
Maybe ur having buyers remorse, maybe u r a hater by nature. Either way u r starting to get annoying saying the same bs over and over again.
U don't see me chitting on ur vortech threads talking bout bad bearings and shady RA business practices do u?

Thanks! HKS SC is CARB since early this year at least for the non-RevUp which is what I have. I dont know about the RevUp but jonnylaw can give you more info.....see post #22.

Yea, the non-revup complete kits for the Z/G/FX are carb approved (using the 2 aux fuel injectors and ~6 lb pulley).
The revup kits are not carb approved, and from what I've heard HKSUSA has no eta on getting the revup kit carb approved, and will likely remain a special order item from Japan.
Getting carb exemption is a lentghly process that requires lots of time, effort, and money. Having said that, it is possible for carb exemption down the road, especially if HKSUSA gets some help for it if they is a high demand enough imo.
Also, how HKSUSA deals with EO's is that it is not stamped on the blower itself, but a certificate issued to the owner that has the EO on it and it registers back to the SN on the blower.

Who owns the HKS S/C'd G35 at GTM? Man I was staring at the HKS kit and it definitely is some high quality stuff, makes my Vortech and Prochargers look like a DIY handmade garage job lol. Interesting how these units make so much power with a tiny blower.
To the OP, congrats and I hope you are happy with the end results.
