Monster? Did he say monster?!
I hope so. It will be interesting to see what Sam can do with this build.
Minor update:
Sam called the other night. Pre-op dyno was about 240 rwhp with my basic bolt-ons: Nismo CAI & exhaust, JWT flywheel, UR pulleys. He wants to install the HKS SC on my current set-up to see what he is working with before doing the engine build. Should be interesting to see what the HKS does on a 6MT since it will be the first one he has done. Maybe we will have some dynos in a week or so.....he didnt say when, Im just guessing/hoping.
Stay tuned. (pun intended)

Thanks and good luck.

You're tellin' me. The Z would sit in the garage for a couple weeks or more sometimes and I would drive it whenever I wanted just for fun and not think about it, but now that it is in the shop getting built it's crazy how much I think about it and want it back. Human nature I guess.
I will definitely put up the info as it comes in.
Stopped by to see Sam today and take a peek and what's going on under the hood. He has the HKS SC installed and it's just cool to see all that hardware on my Z.
It was on the dyno yesterday and he said it did about 330 rwhp so that's 90 whp gain over where I was. This is stage 0, straight out of the box with no mods to the SC. Next he plans to maximize the power output from the SC and then build the engine.
One thing more, my engine bay has never looked so clean except for the day I bought it. I'm very impressed with the whole operation at GTM.
Stay tuned.

Very nice. Keep us updated on the progress of your car. I love going to GTM. I always feel like a kid in a candy store when I go there. Except I always leave with my wallet a lot lighter.

I'm right there with ya. I told Sam today that he should put up some "pearly gates" at the front entrance cuz I feel like I've made it to Heaven when I go there.

Well, after a few delays because of parts including one last Friday, the engine is nearly ready. The HKS SC was previously installed before the engine build so it should all go back together pretty quickly.
Here are some pics from my visit on Saturday. First a test pic to see if I am posting correctly. Empty engine bay....strange to see my ZR like that.

Arias pistons (10:1) & rods, heads with extensive work and larger valves to improve flow, upgraded cams, and of course the stroked crankshaft.
Hoping to have it ready by next Saturday!
