If you are on a budget and already have the Ultimate then you can stick with it. If you can sell the Ultimate then do it coz Utec will have much better control of you Fuel and Timing. I would get Vortech SC but that comes with the SS EMS.

You can do this, but I blew my engine with that setup at only 375/325 hp/tq. I'm now replacing the e-manage with haltech. Anyone want to buy a fully wired emanage ultimate for $250?

well.. i bought the E Ultimate for over a year ago and havent had it installed becuse the place where i bought it havent had anyone to install etc etc for me..

but i dont think i could sell it so easy even if im counting on loosing a lot of money.

i was thinking of HKS since i like Rotrex SC that they use.. im having a little issue oh needing to remove my front crashbar..so im sort of looking for installing a small chargecooler instead of a IC

so...the GReddy E ultimate isnt any good overall?

sell the e-manage and get a utec well worth it in the long run. Ease of tuning yourself after you get to a good starting point.

The Ultimate worked for me while I was na. I do not understand this at all, but the ultimate is maxed out at 5 volts above 5700rpms for something and will not let the tuner adjust enough parameters. My car is running with the greddy now but it is not smooth and tends to miss-fire often. Tuner is able to correct problems and then the factory ECU re learns old ways again it seems.

If this is incorrect please help me too. I just want the car to run right and I hate to spend another 2K on engine management.

god its so not worth spending 15k on F/I only to have it run like crap because you wont spend another 2k on a good EMS.

How I blew the engine I am unsure of. I was also running a light weight pully which could have been the reason it blew.

This is also how I feal. Unfortunately, I just paid 5K for my rebuild/headers/clutch/flywheel and other stuff without paying for the labor and tuning. I already had the supercharger on the car. I'm now a bit short on fun money for the EMS.

I'm going to do it but will probably wait a few weeks.

From what research I have done it seems that the light weight pulley does not have the rubber bushings found in the stock pulley and thus is not good to run with the Vortech. Here again feel free to elaborate or correct me on this point.

I probably have twelve in my engine build/vortech/bolt-ons, not including the aftermarket parts I have replaced with other aftermarket parts and tuning. Fifteen is not a far stretch. I'm sure I have forgot about plenty...... and my car runs like crap right now! ouch.

You have to use a Map Sensor when Fi'd with Utlimate... Are you using Map?

i ran emanage ultimate on my twin turbo setup for almost 6 months. the car was a little jerky under partial loads. other than that it was fine to me. lasted me until an injector got stuck open on me. i mad 403rwhp @ 8psi. however i am upgrading to a utec and ditching my old emanage ultimate. in my honest opinion if your staying stock block and especially with a supercharger you should be fine. also id be careful with aftermarket pullies. there have been numerous failures with them.

I don't know. How can I tell? Would the tuner not know this?

Would changing to a Map Sensor fix the problems I am describing? Thanks,

How wuch is a map sensor and how hard to install? Who makes them?
