--->jkenefic version 3.0 build<---
Thats weird. Im almost possitive that my HR gaskets dont have those little holes.
The car has been running great as far as the internals of the engine are concerned... I had a upper radiator hose get torn open somehow, and no it was not head lift... and the Crawford plenum finally cracked (lie everyone else's) and had to have it re-welded.
But as far as head lift or cooling is concerned I have had absolutely zero issues, the motor has just under 9000 miles on it now and I leave the boost controller at 19psi all the time (626whp on DD). So this is being tested at my max power level on a daily basis, made it through the first season without a hitch, and I would expect nothing to develop at these power levels in regards to the head gaskets or head bolts.

+1 on the kenefic method. I will be following his lead as well, but my motor already had the L19's installed, so I will be using a combination of the L19's with the HR gaskets. Joe says that mix and match is not an isssue. Thanks again Joe.
I just wanted to say thanks for all the info.
I am currently tearing down a VQ35DE Maxima engine and plan to use the HR head gaskets as well.

The grinding shouldn't be too hard at all when it's on the stand.
But thanks. It's always nice to see proven results from other members.

Yea lots of good info in this thread. I talked to my engine builder and he said that he was sent the headgasket and head bolts for a 370Z. But those should be the same as the HR? Considering that the only thing different in the 370Z HR engine is displacement.

^^^ The car is parked for the winter, but still not a single issue with the engine build at this point... When the car is driven it is driven at 19psi setting, so I am testing it the best I can.
I don't think there will be any reliability problems with this combo of parts, tune, and HP.
I think there are ruffly 9000 miles on this build...
I am upgrading mostly drivetrain and suspension stuff this winter no that I have a engine in the car I am not concerned about in the least.
