So why not just tone down the tune up top? Adding more meth will just create more problem. The quickest way to find out is just remove a couple of degree of timing up top (knock area) and see if the knock goes away. Adding more meth will put your entire tune out of balance.

Have you ruled out a bad knock sensor? Would the ECU through a code if it was bad or even marginal in performance? Having this problem with the Stillen and now Vortech suggests a system problem.

IMHO meth seems more like a bandaid at this point. Didn't you have a stillen S/C before? Did your car have detonation then?

Yes it did, only on stage 3 though. Never heard knock on stage 2

If you can actually hear knock above road noise and exhaust... Then it's pretty bad knock... I'd back the tune off a bit and look for any mechanical problems before adding more meth. Otherwise you're going to have a pile of broken parts on your hands.

timing has already been reduced in high rpms about a week ago. Even though its possibly okay now, the fact that my car is knocking too easily is still an issue. What mechanically can cause this knock? plugs, leaks, injectors, have been checked

From a quick google search,

The most common symptom of excessive oil clearances is an awful knock coming from the engine. Low oil pressure is also a symptom of excessive oil clearances but is less common (by the time the oil pressure goes low there's usually an engine knock evident). Engine knock can be caused by worn rod bearings, main bearings, piston pins, pistons, and cam bearings. Sometimes some types of engine knock can be repaired with the engine in the car. The engine must be partially disassembled to know for sure.

damn, how the fark can my engine components be worn if I bought the car new a year ago and it only has 25k miles on it. Most of it was N/A with conservative highway miles. Never tracked or abused

you should do an oil analysis... blackstone-labs.com

this will tell you if its your bearings or not...
