Default Top Speed Limiter Removal

I need to have the top speed limiter removed from the ECU. I know Technosquare can do it but they wan't $500. Can I get it done anywhere else cheaper?

The GTM reflash is pretty good. How fast are you looking to go JET?

There are certain things the FCON can't do, and I believe this be one of them.

I agree...the GTM reflash is nice....

If I am not mistaken...I was told to remove the speed-limiter you have to do it in the stock ECU.

On the back straight comming into turn 17 @ Sebring I always hit the speed limiter and there is another 1/5 mile or so to accelerate. So I want it removed. Sorry Louie... I don't have a rev-up.

GTM eh? Wonder what that costs.

EDIT: Just found out the GTM reflash costs $600. I'm not willing to pay that for a speed limiter removal.

L-Spec Technosquare would be cheapest solution (thought price dropped to ~$250, but coud be wrong, might be more), but downtime for having to ship out your ecu to them and back.

L-spec (guessing stands for "limited" spec), not F-spec ("full spec").

F-spec is their full reflash: target A/F, ignition timing, speed limiter removal, throttle control

L-spec just removes speed limiting, and makes changes to electronic throttle control stuff I think.

Ahhh.... Thanks for clearing that up. The car is not a daily driver so downtime is no big deal.

If you're considering the reflash, I would suggest Osiris, which includes Cipher for diagnostics, and allows multiple reflashes/maps - all for $700. Soon an end user tuneable version of the software will be released as well...

GTM reflash I think is the best bet. Like anything you pay for quality. So as you know you go to pay to play. And there is much more in the reflash because the speed limit

jetpilot arent you boosted with an greaddy TT? if he is like i thought he was then the GTM and all the other tunes arent really good since im sure its already tuned and he just wants the limiter removal. i would call forged and ask them about it, they might be able to give you a deal since they do the TS ecu in house and you can maybe get just the limiter removed for cheap if you let em know the situation
