I'm putting through bolts and nuts on all of mine next time I take the plenum off to change my plugs.

That's not a bad idea. I didn't even think of that.

I took the upper plenum off AGAIN and extracted the lower portion of the broken bolt like Alberto said and I inserted another helicoil. I have to get another bolt tomorrow at the dealership, but it looks liek I can re-use this lower plenum again.

I can't imagine that you are serious........

that would be a huge pita to install an remove. I can picture all the dropped nuts and/or bolts.

With flanged nuts it is not hard at all. Just drop them in a box wrench and its a piece of cake.

if you really tune yourself into the wrench like a fugging ninja, you can actually feel when the bolt starts to stretch. that is the point any bolt is torqued at, or measured to torque to. only works on the little ones though, lol.

this is just funny, just turn it till its tight. they are not going anywhere and i have never seen one back out. especially with like 17 of them holding them down.
