Default TrackPack's Turbo Fab Thread...

Hey guys, you may remember me from such threads as "WARNING- Ratedz4mature is a Thief!!!" (what a douche...)..anyways I'm a long time lurker but haven't posted much at all, I would like to use this thread as a hello to you guys and to keep you up to date on my project. I havent had alot of time lately so the progress is slow but its coming along. I tried to take a different route on the forced induction Z as I like to do things a little different than most, not necessarily right.... just different!

Well I'll leave you with a few specs, then off with the pics!
-Sch 10 header/crossover pipe, not 1.9mm tube, I know tube has worked well in this community but not so well in other community's.
-Gt37r aka T67ho single .84ar exhaust.
-tial bov and 44mm wastegate
-sx fuel pump -10 up, ross machine rails
-precision 65lb injectors
-28x10x3 vertical cooler
-Haltech ems

That kinda sums it up for the time being I guess...
Special thanks to Brad D, Kim L, and Cranny for putting up with me LOL.
Ohh Hal from Injected! This is the project I was telling you about, hope you like it.

First I'd like to introduce you to Bender, the welder-bot!

Heres the subject...

Here's some endtank fab..

The cooler was made up of 2 cores welded together...

All tacked up.....

Thanks for viewing guys, I'll update more later.

Cooler welded up, and tabs welded on for mounting..

PS. I don't know Brad D, and I respect what he is doing with the KA-T setup... but I have to ask: if you all have these fab skills why isn't a VQ sitting in there??

It just has to go high 9's.....not high 8's silly.....

But realistically the ka is sufficient for what he wants to do with the car. I dont want to get to carried away talking about his car.... but here I go!
That ka hasnt been opened up since its been built, I believe 3 years ago, and its taken an ungodly sh*t kicking from day one. That car completely changed my views on the ka motor, it see's 40#'s every time the car is driven, and when I say 40 I mean an Autometer 30psi boost gauge with the needle siting between the o's on the word boost hah we broke the gauge with too much actually, reads incorrect now lol. The car made 470whp on 91 pump but lives its life practically all the time on c16, so it see's alot of abuse, and never an issue, no head lift, nothing. Bomb proof. pretty amazing considering it was self tuned, no shop, a testament to the ka!

I love the vq and dont want to compare the 2 here but I must say the ka is an under appreciated motor.

Now that I have that out of the way, I have to comment that its funny you mentioned motor swap, this is probably Brads only project car that kept the stock motor(minus the tranny swap.) years ago he had a 240z with a rb26dett, stock turbos, went 11.7.
here's his rav4 project, tube frame, lifted, lexus v8...lol

and here is project pro-street celica, will be powered by a toyota 3.4 tocoma v6.

terrible pics unfortunately.... but as you can see the man likes his motor swaps!

Sorry for the rambling guys, thanks for the kind words and keep the comments coming!
