Current mod.. Vortech full kit.. exhaust..bolt on's etc..

anyway..
when i was driving home.. cruising for about 2hrs.. then when as we were exiting on the off ramp, i decided to give the car a little boot, the car just stops going..(as in feels like it cut fuel..)

luckly i have a wideband
when car idles it runs SUPER Rich in the 10's..when driving the car normally it runs ultra rich as well. Until i give more than 20% throttle it starts to get really lean then cuts off again. i guess its the knock sensor protecting me =p

anyway, after this happened i did not get an ENGINE Light.. i just stopped at a gas station right away,unplugged battery, and drove again(b/c i was still about 1.5hours away from home)So the drive home was fine because it was mostly just cruising at constant speed. Until now, i just got home and tried to give it a hard boot again.. boom same thing.. again no engine light..
SOo is my MAF busted?

Will the Engine light come on right away if the MAF is broken?

I forgot to say.. It was raining really hard for the whole ride..

and it stopped raining now..

I think i should have kept driving it until i got an engine light because it stopped raining now and I cant replicate the problem.

 

Check your maf if it is wet, also do you have a Water injection? This happened to me a few times (My Meth kit controller went bad and sprayed even when I wasn't on boost or car is shutdown) and I'm surprised that my MAF is still working. I think your MAF sensor got wet and just let it dry and hope you are ok.

 

Yea I think it probably got wet or something.
I couldnt replicate the problem. But i dont see how it got wet though. unless the supercharger is sucking water from my intake duct.

The only thing is, I can unplug battery for a reset then everything works fine again.
