turbo timer is not needed, and will just become an annoyance.

Boost control handled by HKS EVC or Blitz

I bet those same people that told you that still are dumping in an out house totally oblivious to the fact we all now have indoor plumbing

I don't use a turbo timer either but I have a Rear-Mount so it doesn't really get hot.

I think many of the coolant-cooled turbo housings employed today don't necessitate use of a turbo timer like in days past...

Your right.with liquid cooled turbos...the most youd ever have to turbo time would be for 30 seconds..and thats if you boosted into your parking spot. I used to turbo time my Supra for 20 seconds...never had a problem. The turbo will cool down really quick esp at idle.

all a turbo timer is designed for is to keep oil running through your turbos as your car is cooling down. since oil is the most important factor for turbos, you dont want to turn off your car immediately after a long hard run. however if your plan is to just drive it on the streets, and give it a little go here and theer, you'll be fine as long as you let it cool down a minute. turbo timers are one of those things, you dont really need, just better to have one.
