Why wouldn't you want to use the Vortech BPV? If it ain't broke why fix it? Don't complicate things, FI is already complicated enough.

changing it will do nothing to your cars peformance...so it would be a waste of money to change it.

...what would make you think it was broken? Are you not making any boost? When you let off the gas you can hear it purge right?

Loosen the top nut and loosen bolt. It'll open up a little earlier. You're getting compressor surge. Just play with the BPV until it no longer surges out the Filter.

so thats all I have to do? I have asked like 10 different shops and they say its probly bad I've never seen that happen before. So just loosen that jam nut and then the bolt, is there anything else I should know about it when adjusting it?

You'll have to play with it for a bit until you get it. I think normal threads showing above the locking nut is 6-7 threads?

Turtle

You seem to be a worry wart !

Any time you are ....NOT... boosting the car , air will be coming out of that bypass valve . When you give it enough gas and vacuum drops , it will close and boost will start to build . There should be 6 to 9 threads showing above the nut on the adjustment bolt .

If you went through half of what I did when Nissan screwed up my car you would worry about things too, plus Im new to all the FI and I am finally understanding everything. But let me get this straight when my car is at idle the bpv will be open and when I give it gas it will close correct? there should be 6-9 threads showing, and how often does that breather on the BPV need to be changed

It's going to blow till you hit enough vacum then close. Should close around 4000 or so depending on your pulley.
