A bad situation turns good, Apology to Dave @ FT and a friendship saved
As some of you saw the out of control thread last night I had a disagreement with Dave from FunctionTuned yesterday over the looking of hte Utec and the pin #. I felt that I should be able to know the pin # and well ther rest you most know. Yes yesterday some things were said out of pure spite and anger over the situation, I take some of the blame for it as I could have acted with a more mature manner.
Fast forward to today, I recieve a call from Dave around 11:30am. He and I talk very calmly about the situtation and each went over what we said wrong, I agreed with Dave that I understood where he was coming from, and he proceeded to tell me that the pin # that I wanted for my tune was also the same pin # he uses for his other tunes. Knowning that then I expressed that if I would have known that yesterday then I would have fully understood where he was coming from. I also let Dave know that I never had any intentions of taking his tune or giving to another shop. Dave and I further talked out everything and concluded to stay friends. Im glad that he called this morning and that we were able to talk things out. Id like to publically apologize to Dave for anything that I said yesterday out of anger and for my immature actings on here as well. The fact that he called and agreed to still help me out, shows his true colors to me and it should to everyone else on here. I also would like to apologize for anything I said about Dave not being one to help someone out yesterday because he showed today that he is infact a stand up guy. A bad situation is now good, and a friendship saved.

It's good to hear Dave is not locking the UTEC. But Sharif still is. He doesn;t give you access to your own UTEC. Something I don't understand. I have to tweak my tune every once in a while. When Jeremy got my car he had to flash the unit and start over. It's good jeremy doesn;t lock the UTEC because I nneded to get in there and change it a little. If he locked it I couldn't have adjusted the tune like I needed.

If you need to make tweaks to your Utec, because of the nature of the unit, I think that should be discussed with your tuner before hand.
I understand both sides, and actually agree with both - if that makes any sense, so the best thing to do is come to an agreement before hand.
