Default Not getting 100% throttle........ come on in!

hey guys, im datalogging(zeitronix) my car and watching the TPS, i cant get 100% throttle. i get 96 97 98 99 but not 100 percent throttle. i tried doing the accelerator pedal released position learning, throttle valve closed position learning, and idle air volume learning to recalibrate the throttle and it didnt fix it.

now, the reason this is in the FI section is because im s/c'ed and having an issue in the upper rpm's about 6k and up. i hear what sounds like a boost leak. its very small, and air is leaking somewhere. my thoughts are that its because im not at 100% throttle to keep my BPV completely closed, so maybe when it hits a certain boost, the BPV opens since im not 100% throttle. (similar to daily driving up a hill; you give it gas and the bpv closes, as rpms go up and your throttle position stays the same, boost eventually comes out of the BPV. follow me?)

im wondering if my throttle not closing that extra two or three percent will make my BPV open slightly to create that tiny leak. and how the heck can i get my TB to 100%?

I have zeitronix data logs that i could upload, but i figure not many people can read zeitronix files since not many people use it here.

any info guys? thanks a bunch!

normal to not get 100% throttle eh? maybe i should try tightening up my BPV and see if it still occurs? if it does i'll do a boost leak test. just made one the other day.

hell, that's pretty high, imo... a lot of cars go less than 90% for safety measures.

all depends on your system calibration.

I believe the signal is supposed to be a 0-5v signal. When i ran my nitrous the window switch picked up 4.6 volts +- a few hundredths.

If the UTEC calibrates to a .1-4.5 volts scale......then 4.6 is over throttle.

Get cipher and check what the actual ECU is reading.

This is a old and common issue, the idea behind it is to remove some stress on the engine as it approaches redline for longevity and reliability. A reflash will eliminate this feature.

gotcha. im going to tighten up the BPV a tiny bit to see if that fixes it. i dont want to go to tight tho. i think i have 5-6 threads showing on the BPV. if that doesnt fix it, i must have a leak somewhere. boost leaks are F'ing retarded.

i guess i can eliminate the idea i had initially that since im not getting WOT my BPV may be opening at upper rpms? we'll see if tightening it does the trick.

well i did a boost leak test and it held 15-20 psi just fine with no leaks. so boost leak is out of the question.

i have a strange noise up top at about 6000 rpms. it kinda sounds like when a boosted car makes too much hp for its stock exhaust, it kind of hisses really loud-ish. i wonder if what im hearing is my engine making too much hp for stock headers and cats with my stillen TD exhaust that is struggling a lil bit. i am at over 400whp on a dynodynamics as soon as i get over 5700 rpms.

i also tightened up my belt and cleaned my air filter. still makes the noise.
i guess its a possibility.
