I guess it's better than "blow up", which seems to be what HKS turbos do on these cars. And, when there are issues, at least Turbonetics will go out of their way to help you get it fixed.

I have nothing against anybody here, even you but vinny is the biggest dick i have ever met.
Heres one thread i just found

^^ So you are upset because you made demands to him and try to get them to lie for you and when they refused you got upset.....WOW. You can try to spit another story but we all knew what happened. I would have treated you the same and keep in mind as a business owner he has the right to refuse service to anyone. You don't made demands and expect someone to bow down to you it does not work that way.....YOU PHAYLE
On another note you BOUGHT THE CAR USED WITH THE KIT ON so how is it that they forgot to install something? If you were not there when the car had the install DONE how in the world can you say they forgot something...........Are you kidding me or what. Once again YOUR LIES ARE A HOT CUP OF PHAIL.
HERE IS A OLDIE BUT GOODIE.............A Moderator even had to change the title after the facts were revealed.

rookie, i saw the link in your post and i read the thread connected to it. Not every install goes perfectly, mistakes are made somtimes, but decent shops are hard to come by and from al the other threads ive seen most people speak well of VTR, and everything usually goes better when you do alot of research yourself and learn as much as possible before you jump into anything so you know what you want and can tell the shop you go to exactly what you want. It usually helps not to buy a used kit too. But, wow man i saw that thread that you lied on and thats a severely dick move. Im not trying to be a dick or anything but why would I or anybody seriously listen to you at this point after doing something like that. I understand you were desperate but thats just messed up. And as far as viny goes at VTR i couldnt care less how tough someone acts as long as the work on my car is done properly and god forbid something goes wrong they help me out. From what ive read it seems like they back their customers pretty well. Ed seems like he's pretty willing to help out people too if something goes wrong and its in his power to do so, ya know, as long as he's not lied too and screwed around by people who bought used kits and wanted free parts lol.

My case might be different as I only have access to 91 octane but where you are, you might be able to get 93 or higher?
If you have a few extra hundred to spend like I did, purchase a Greddy E-Manage Ultimate (which is what I use). They are pretty cheap yet reliable and good at what they do which is tune cars that aren't making huge numbers or need to be 100% customised in regards to the EMS taking over nearly all the functions of the car (complete stand alone). I got mine with the harness for about $400. You might also be interested in getting a 'patch' harness so you don't need to physically hack into the stock Z's wiring harness. All you ned to do is plug the wires in.

FYI the water cooling lines are in no way required to safely run that turbo, that's why the kit isn't sold with them. You can run it all day with just the oil cooled bearing housing despite having the ports and channels for water cooling, it's just there for added peice of mind and overall longevity of the turbo.
Whether you choose to add the water lines or not is your own choice, perhaps you didn't tell him you wanted to spend the extra money on the lines and fittings before the car went in.

If you've modified the kit at all, it's recommended to go with a tunable EMS (the reflash was programmed for a stock vehicle with the kit), but always verify the reflash tune by running on the dyno.

After I purchased, installed and had the EU tuned by Sam at GTM, the car ran much smoother and made more power and most importantly, with me straining my hearing, I could not hear any indications of detonation. The EU will fit you perfectly and being as that it has been out forever, it is a tried and true method of tuning a car.
There is one small potential pitfall that Sam did make me aware about which was that the EU sometimes has a tendency to burn ignitions coils if not wired correctly.
If you have any questions, ask your tuner. If he does not know anything in regards to this, call Sam at GTM.
Remember that the reflash was made to run on an otherwise stock car. It has the ability to make slight adjustments, but if you change up the setup in any way it's recommended to go with a tuneable EMS as BluBurr says.
