Adding those two things made a HUUUUUUGE difference. Like I said..before I couldnt even touch the charge pipes and theyd be at or over 100* AIT. Now unless than 10* above ambient and after a hard run the pipes are cool to the touch.

As soon as I get vacation which will be in the next coming weeks. I did a semi tune(ive tuned all my previous cars) kept it VERY conservative and the car runs mint. I beat the **** out of it daily with the expectation of it blowing up (to jump start my engine build) but so far its holdin strong..no smoke from the exhaust yet either.

No. Im also going to add heat shield between the radiator and the charge pipes..I think I can further reduce AITS that way as well.

So how's the setup of the exhaust? I'm very interested in seeing how they mount up, etc.

OP, if you want to keep your charge pipe cool, get one of these.

^+++1 i have this exact setup myself with additional tape over the area where it goes over the turbo/water lines as well as were its near the block. i can rest my hand on the pipes after hard driving and not get burned.

Practical function over form decision. Great job OP.

I wonder what's the "main" culprit for the heat? From the manifolds themselves?
