Default Getting PWND by Turbonetics yet AGAIN!!!

Here is a reference to my build thread

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...big-0-8-a.html

So Jeremy gets my car all buttoned up and on the dyno yesterday to start tunning. The car was broken in and ready to start tunning it when all of a sudden smoke starts barreling from one side of the Exhaust. Jeremy looks under the car and oil is POURING from my freshly "rebuilt" driver side turbo. This is after i have sent the turbos back to Turbonetics to be rebuilt since they were smoking before(they only had 3k miles prior to this). So i then get in touch w/ Reggie Wynn @ Turbonetics to make him aware of the situation. He offers for me to send my turbo back to them for them to take another look at it. I am extemely hesistant to do this since it will end up taking another fuking month and my car has been down for 3 months already. I have had it with these guys. I don't see how a cracker jack operation like this stays in buisness.

Well at least Jeremy said the engine purrs like a kitten

My back up plan is to get drunk at the LSU game this weekend, watch some football, and then do the dirty w/ my lady friend.

Seriously though if i can't get turbonetics to fix their own product i will just have to switch the manifolds and get new turbos. I will however make sure that i become a ROYAL pain in the *** for turbonetics and will blast them on every forum every chance i get.

Damn man that sucks. Im glad I ditched my TN for the Greddy before building. I know your likely are broke after a build, but Id rather wait a month and save $$$ for a good kit rather than get into modding that kit or trying to make it work reliably. Good luck.

I know you may not want to hear this, but I would strongly consider if something is wrong with the oil return design or implementation... I would think TN knows how to rebuild turbos and I find it highly suspect that new turbos are leaking that much oil. Either the oil feed pressure is too high or the return is insufficient. You could always try to sell the SFR kit (can you return the entire kit for a refund given your problems) and pick up one that is tried and true or even go with the new GTM kit...

Thanks guys for the support!!!

We are going to look at the oil sump again but we have already checked it once. I am ALMOST broke so i have a few options left .

A) Tim offered to help me out on the cost of the new manifolds, down pipes, and wastegate dump tubes in order to run ANY garrett or precision turbo i want.

B) Somehow find a garrett w/ T04B housing and a 2 3/4" inlet. (help me out if someone knows!!!)

C) Keep fuking w/ Turbonetics and JT blowing my car up (literally strapping a bomb to it )

I am just so frustrated because going into this i said i would be SOOO pissed if the turbos came back f'd up! LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!!!

The Westech is the newer one they use. The new manifolds let you use any garrett t3 turbo, but still cant be bigger then a t04e housing.

turbonetics so many problems, maybe because they sell more kits than anyone else?
